This is the place to find out more about me, my beads, and my designs.
I'm self-taught lampwork artist as a second life. I say life rather than career, as I do this to live vs. making a living. Recently, my focus has changed from creating beads for sale, to creating beads for my own designs. Since I have a great love for the glass, I make far more beads than I need and will continue have many to share with my customers and friends. I love making beads and hope to be able to make them for a very long time to come!
I love color, texture and being different. I feel I see the world in a little different way and everything I make reflects my point of view. I try to keep organized, but often wander off the path. I have a very busy brain. Not sure if it is thanks to recent psych diagnoses or the medications I take. Either way, I keep moving, always trying to accomplish something. I actually dream of designs and have a sketch pad at my bedside for ideas. I have awakened to complete designs that I remember once I see them, but would have certainly forgotten otherwise. Its like the idea fairies came and left me a note! The down side of my tiny brain is that my ideas float by like pretty butterflies. If I don't sketch it or write it somewhere, they just flutter away. I do seem to have an endless supply though, so I guess a few can slip through without notice.
As to be expected, my schedule is a little unpredictable. My hope for 2012 is to begin attending approximately 4 local shows per year, as well as intermittent opportunities that present themselves. I will announce any scheduled shows in case you are in the Las Vegas area.
